Brno-based Unis, specialising inter alia in investment construction, last year increased its turnover by nearly 70% to 1.2 billion CZK. Since 2010 it has almost tripled its turnover. Most of the company's orders are won abroad.

Next month the railway track from Plzeň to Rokycany will begin construction. Besides disputes over land, the almost three-year delay has been caused by appeals from tender bidders, all finally refused by the Competition Office.

The Competition Office is still reviewing the completion of the D1 motorway from Přerov to Lipník nad Bečvou. It began to study the six-billion CZK tender on the basis of a proposal from the consortium of PORR, Porr Bau and COLAS.

Rožnov pod Radhoštěm is about to start the building of several parts of a sewage system. It will pay over 111 million CZK for 16.5 km of pipework and the preparation of almost 400 connections to family houses and apartment blocks.

The Russian banking group Sberbank is to have a new boss in the Czech Republic. Vladimír Šolc is to become Managing Director and Chairman of the Board. In both functions he will replace Libor Holub, who left the bank in June.
