The industrial park in Cheb will start to expand in the autumn. A further 30 hectares will be added in the second phase of the project. Investment in land and utility networks will cost the city some 40 million CZK. A third phase is planned.

At a cost of more than 330 million CZK the engineering company Legios is to supply 155 freight wagons to France. It has also signed a deal with a customer in Turkey, for whom it will this year and next produce 300 tanker wagons.

PPF Real Estate from the PPF group of Czech businessman Petr Kellner is planning to procure property worth 3.6 billion CZK in the Netherlands. The deal with AXA Real Estate is for six office buildings and a shopping centre.

The largest Czech engineering group Škoda Transportation has won orders worth more than 17 billion CZK over the first six months of this year. The company owes these historic results mainly to investment in product research and development.

The Armatury Group from Dolní Benešov in the Opava area has signed a contract to supply 200 pipe valves for gas pipelines and terminals in Algeria. Having won a difficult tender, in total it will supply goods worth more than 100 million CZK.
