From July Andreas Joehle will be the new executive director of the Hartmann AG group, part  of which is the Czech producer of health-care materials Hartmann-Rico. He will replace Rinaldo Riguzzi who announced his departure last year.

Czech companies are to share in the construction and equipping of a new hospital in Gabon's capital city Libreville. The contract is valued at some 389 million CZK. The insurance cover has been provided by the export insurance company EGAP.

Slovak financier Mario Hoffmann is negotiating with investors to sell his biotechnology company Axon Neuroscience. If the company is successful with its research, its value could soon be of the order of tens of billions of CZK.

Hospitals in South Bohemia are preparing investments worth over 700 million crowns this year. Healthcare facilities in České Budějovice alone are preparing to rebuild a maternity hospital and neo-natal clinic for over 200 million.
