The Board of the Czech subsidiary of Russian banking group Sberbank has two new members. From the middle of July Jiří Antoš has been responsible for retail banking, Karel Soukeník is joining from October as Finance and Operations Director.

RSJ, which uses its own mathematical models and algorithms in market trading, intends to expand into other markets. So far it has specialised in so-called futures contracts, it is interested for example in the spot market for US government bonds.

The Russian banking group Sberbank is to have a new boss in the Czech Republic. Vladimír Šolc is to become Managing Director and Chairman of the Board. In both functions he will replace Libor Holub, who left the bank in June.

Petr Manda, former Director of the regional corporate banking branch at ČSOB in Prague, will take over management of corporate banking for the whole country. He will replace Roman Kracík who has done the job since September 2010.

Albert Le Dirac’h is to be the new Managing Director and Board Chairman of Komerční banka from this August. He will replace Henri Bonnet in this post, who has decided to resign from both positions as of 1st August.

The former Elitex site in Rokytnice nad Jizerou in the Semily region is going for sale at auction. The insolvency administrator has set the reserve price at 7.36 million CZK. The auction is to take place in Liberec on 17th June.

The German Haas Group has invested 2.3 billion CZK in its timber company in Chanovice over the last 19 years. The production site in Pošumaví has expanded from 8 to 43 hectares, with a further 12 hectares in reserve for further development.
